Turn plugged devices on and off in an Ajax app — the control screen is always at hand. Make sure all the sockets are off, even a thousand kilometers from home. And if you forgot, correct the situation with one tap.

Control button

Control button

A control button offers the convenience of instant powering the plugged device on or off. There is no need to use the app to turn off the appliance every time.

Current load visualization

Current load visualization

As soon as the connected appliance starts consuming electricity, the Socket LEDs change color depending on the load level in real time. It helps to define the most power-consuming devices.

It’s possible to configure the LED indication mode in the app: you can turn it off completely or display it only when Socket is turned on.

Voltage surges protection

Voltage surges protection

Socket protects your appliances from sudden power surges that can heat components and wires in electrical appliances and cause them to burn out. Socket interrupts power supply to appliances and electronics in case of under- and overvoltage.

The device features a grounding contact to prevent electric shock and overheating protection to reduce the risk of fires.

Power consumption monitoring in the app

Power consumption monitoring in the app

Socket monitors the power consumption of the connected appliance: current, voltage, and energy consumption. This data is displayed in the app in real-time and helps to identify energy vampire devices affecting electricity bills.

The history of electricity consumption is also available in the app. The user can see how much a particular appliance has consumed over a certain period.

Current protection

Current protection

To make sure that the connected appliance operates efficiently and does not exceed its rated specifications, you can configure a current limit (up to 15 A) in the settings.

Once the current value in the network exceeds the selected limit, the device will automatically turn off.

Effortless automation improves comfort and security

Use scenarios to make life safer and more comfortable. Set the power to turn off automatically when arming the system or in case of an emergency. Turn on specific appliances according to a schedule or when LightSwitch Jeweller is on.

Power off the appliances when arming the system

When you leave your house, arm the system. All energy-consuming appliances will be automatically switched off. An iron, heater, and toaster will no longer create a risk of fire.

Reliable connection with a hub

Socket capabilities are provided by a hub — the brain of an Ajax system. The hub can be connected to four internet providers simultaneously via Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or two 2G/3G/LTE cellular networks ready for backup. Automatic switching between communication channels takes seconds.

The hub runs on OS Malevich, a real-time operating system developed by Ajax Systems. OS Malevich is highly stable, immune to viruses, and protected from cyberattacks. The automation scenarios are executed on the hub level, so they will keep running even without a connection with the server.

Unique wireless technology

All the device functions can be fully revealed only when Socket is paired with a hub. Reliance is not placed on popular technologies such as Wi-Fi, Z-Wave, ZigBee, or Bluetooth.

Instead, an Ajax system uses reliable two-way secure radio communication based on the Jeweller proprietary protocol. It provides block encryption and device authentication at each communication session with the hub to prevent sabotage, spoofing, or data theft.

ReX 2 assures stable communication even through steel and concrete via Ethernet using the wire as the additional communication channel. Up to 5 range extenders can operate within one Ajax system to expand the network twice as big, covering underground parking, basement, or metal hangar.

Easy and quick connection

Socket can be connected and configured in a matter of minutes. To add Socket to the system, scan the QR code in the Ajax app, name it, and assign a room. The device and automation scenarios are also configured in the app in real time.
