Two authentication methods
KeyPad S Plus supports contactless access devices, such as Pass cards or Tag key fobs, as well as codes for user authentication. Access-related information is available in Ajax apps. All events, including user activity and authentication details, can be viewed in the app feed. The apps also allow admins to grant, revoke, restrict, or terminate access permissions to particular users in real time.
Pass card and Tag key fob
When someone uses the Pass card or the Tag key fob, it is recorded in the event feed of the Ajax app. The admin can revoke, restrict, or temporarily suspend the access rights at any time. Admins can also change users’ rights by expanding or restricting their access to particular groups.
Code
KeyPad S Plus supports code types as follows:
- keypad code (one per keypad)
- personal code (individual codes for up to 200 users)3
- codes for unregistered users (up to 99 codes)3
- duress codes (one keypad code and up to 200 personal codes)3
Contactless access devices
The Pass card and the Tag key fob are equipped with original DESFire® chips and feature the same functionality but different enclosures. Users can choose the form that is convenient for them. One Tag or Pass can control 13 security systems. Access devices are sold separately in batches of 3/10/100 pieces.

Top-tier data protection
To identify users quickly and securely, KeyPad S Plus Jeweller features the DESFire® technology. It is the best-in-class contactless solution to identify a user by card or key fob.
DESFire® is based on the ISO 14443 international standard and combines comprehensive 128-bit encryption and copy protection. This technology is also used in transportation systems of European capitals and access systems at NASA.
Access codes for unregistered users
With a simple assignment of a personal access code in the hub settings, office employees, cleaning company staff, or other individuals enter the area with convenience at its finest.
Creating and editing codes remotely
Notifications on adding, removing, and deactivating code
A unique name and ID binding to identify the user
Up to 99 keypad access codes3
Complete protection in case of emergency
The user notifies about the emergency alert
System transmits the alarm
The security company calls a rapid response unit
KeyPad S Plus has a panic button that triggers an alarm. The panic button can be set up to notify users about the alarm, activate sirens, or run an automation scenario. If the user is forced to disarm the system, they can use a duress code. After the code is entered, the keypad simulates regular disarming and sends an alarm to the security company. KeyPad S Plus has one duress code for the device and supports individual codes for up to 200 users3, including unregistered ones.

Smart security management console
KeyPad S Plus is also a simple way to use automation scenarios. Just change the security mode via keypad or press a panic button on the device. The Ajax system automatically turns off the lights, water supply, and appliances. Also, the system closes roller shutters when the user leaves the premises and arms the system.
Outstanding autonomy in heat and cold
A well-thought-out combination of software and hardware ensures that KeyPad S Plus Jeweller gets the most out of the enhanced pre-installed AA (FR6) batteries. After they are tested in real time at the production stage, Ajax Systems inspects every unit to ensure the accuracy of battery characteristics.
The batteries provide up to 3.5 years of autonomous keypad operation. With the card and key fob reader disabled, the battery lifespan reaches 4.5 years. Threshold temperatures do not impact this lifespan much, as the batteries offer stable performance within a range from 14 °F to 104 °F. Users and security companies can always check the battery status via Ajax apps and anticipate maintenance thanks to early low-battery warnings.
Real-time testing during battery production
Minimal impact of threshold temperatures on battery life
Up to 4.5 years of autonomous operation
Low battery notification in advance
Jeweller
Unique wireless technology
An Ajax system uses two-way secure radio communication based on the Jeweller proprietary protocol. It provides block cipher encryption and device authentication at each communication session with the hub to prevent sabotage, spoofing, or data theft.
Up to 5,550 ft of radio communication1 with a hub or range extender
Encrypted two-way radio communication
Notifications about jamming and connection loss
Scaled and comprehensive
For complex radio signal conditions, the ReX Jeweller range extender boosts the range of all Ajax devices and manages their communication with the hub via Jeweller. And ReX 2 Jeweller assures stable communication even through steel and concrete via Ethernet using the wire as the additional communication channel. Up to 5 range extenders can operate within one Ajax system to expand the network twice as big, covering multistorey buildings with underground parking and basements.
Up to 5 range extenders within one system
Ethernet as an alternative communication channel
System supervision
All Ajax devices perform automatic self-diagnosis and report their states to the hub. Essential parameters, including tamper, communication, power supply, and sensor statuses, are continuously monitored. The Ajax Cloud server controls communication between the hub and Ajax apps, ensuring instant notifications for ARCs, security companies, and users. In case of any malfunction or communication failure, an engineer is informed immediately to provide necessary services.
