About the integration

Committed to digitizing routine rental processes, Rentster sought a solution to automate leasing and billing procedures. It would enhance rental management for their clients while minimizing human intervention and reducing errors.

Rentster’s integration of Ajax API into its customer relationship management (CRM) system allows for precise tracking of clients’ activities with rented properties, from entering the premises to billing for the rental period. The process begins when a client books a rental space, such as a meeting room, warehouse, or other property, using Rentster’s calendar system. Once the person enters the rented premises, Relay Jeweller connected to an electric lock detects the door opening and communicates this information to an Ajax hub. The hub then sends data to the Rentster CRM, indicating the start of the rental period. When the client leaves the premises, the CRM records the duration of their stay, allowing the rental company to charge for the actual rental time.

Additionally, Rentster offers rental companies to use Ajax MotionCam detectors to help property managers monitor the situation at the rented facility. With automation scenarios, the devices can be set up to take photos immediately after the door is opened to show who enters the room. This feature helps prevent charging miscalculations: the client does not have to pay for the time a cleaner spends in the rented premises.

This management model extends beyond property rentals. Optimized booking, accessing, and charging procedures can be used for other needs, such as car rental or parcel machine use.
