About the integration

Ajax systems can now be integrated into Control4, a home automation system. To do so, an installation engineer must download the integration driver and install it into a Control4 system. The driver allows users to monitor and manage their Ajax system directly through Control4 interfaces, including touchscreen tablets and mobile apps. It provides real-time status updates, supports arming and disarming security groups, and keeps users informed about all system activity.

The driver was developed by Ajax Systems’ partner, Chowmain Software, with the integration carried out through Ajax API. The driver uses the Ajax Cloud server to send commands from the Control4 interface to the Ajax hub. System events and feedback are sent back to Control4 within the local network through a direct connection using the SIA (DC-09) protocol.

In order for the integration to function, the developer’s company account (Chowmain Software) must be added to the hub as an installation company. If the site requires a monitoring service, the Ajax system can be connected to the security company’s central monitoring station (CMS) using Cloud Signaling.
