This year, more than 130 offline events for professional audiences were held in 40 countries. The presentation focused on the updates and releases across all Ajax product categories. Strategic changes in the Ajax portfolio segmentation were also unveiled.

Ajax Systems updates the segmentation of its portfolio

Ajax Systems is a fast-growing company with a remarkable pace of releases. The portfolio grows by 30 unique products each year. However, such a speed has its side effects. The portfolio is becoming less clear as it grows. For this reason, we introduce its new segmentation — simpler, clearer, and intuitive.

There are several key changes. First of all, there are four new product categories — Intrusion protection, Fire and life safety, Comfort and automation, and Video surveillance. Intrusion protection is further subdivided. It has two product lines: Baseline and Superior. Baseline encompasses wireless Jeweller devices; for intrusion only. Superior covers wireless Jeweller devices and wired Fibra devices intended for high-profile projects. The line now also has dedicated hub models — Hub Hybrid (2G/4G), or soon-to-be Superior Hub Hybrid (2G/4G).

Also, Superior products will progressively receive new names. Thanks to “Superior” at the very beginning of the name, they will be easy to recognize. Baseline product names do not change.

The changes mainly impact the Ajax website, product packaging, and marketing materials. The Ajax team has already started to implement them, but 2025 is named as a period for transition. 

Curtain Outdoor Jeweller: Keep false alarms at bay

Curtain Outdoor Jeweller is a wireless curtain-type motion detector for outdoor perimeter protection. The device features a new optical system, three detection modes, and dual motion detection technology, all of which together mean a near-zero chance of false alarms.

Perfect for garage gates, doors, windows, or arches, the motion detector creates a protective curtain over the entrance and overlooks a narrow sector. The movement is detected by a new optical system based on a Fresnel lens, two PIR sensors, and the latest generation of SmartDetect algorithm. If the algorithm detects a threat, the K-band microwave sensor is activated to verify if there is a threat. This three-stage analysis process occurs instantly and filters out unwanted alarms.

After three years of hard work by our best engineers, we have got Curtain Outdoor Jeweller, a device with a unique blend of technologies that provide the most accurate motion detection in the industry.

Curtain Outdoor Jeweller addresses all the challenges associated with perimeter and outdoor security. The device features comprehensive anti-sabotage protection and an IP55-rated enclosure with a bundled protective hood. It operates for up to three years on pre-installed batteries and offers multiple installation options.

Updates to MotionCam series: photo verification gets a boost

Ajax Systems continues to improve the quality and speed of photo verification in its motion detectors. MotionCam Jeweller and MotionCam (PhOD) Jeweller now deliver images of higher quality thanks to HDR technology, an improved optical system, and a CMOS sensor.

The MotionCam series is also enriched with a new motion detector — Superior MotionCam HD (PhOD) Jeweller. The device inherits the best software and hardware features from the existing models and boasts the added capabilities. Thanks to HDR, HD, and new TurboWings protocol, users and PROs can receive outstanding-quality photos in less than five seconds.

Meet SpeakerPhone Jeweller, a module for audio alarm verification

With Ajax, you can see the situation at the facility using motion detectors with photo verification. Video surveillance cameras expand this capability: you can both see and hear what’s happening on site. Now, we’re introducing the third option: audio alarm verification.

One of the brand-new products introduced at this year’s Ajax Special Event is SpeakerPhone Jeweller, the first voice module in the Ajax ecosystem. It is designed to help CMS operators assess the situation on a site in case of an alarm and respond swiftly if necessary. The operator can call the secured facility to talk to people on-site or listen to the background noises.

Conversations are seamless, with both parties speaking simultaneously, just like on a regular phone call. They hear each other well, too. It is possible thanks to VoRF, a new proprietary protocol for transmitting voice over radio, as well as AI-powered audio processor supporting noise suppression, echo cancellation, and automatic adjustment of microphone sensitivity. SpeakerPhone Jeweller unlocks new alarm verification possibilities, all while delivering the signature Ajax experience.

Certification news: dozens of Ajax products are NFA2P-certified

Ajax Systems recognizes the importance of both international and local standards and works relentlessly to have its products certified. Recently, in this pursuit, dozens of Ajax devices have received French NFA2P certification, which makes them suitable for installation even in high-risk facilities. This certificate is a quality mark for consumers, insurance companies, and regulators.

Through the certification process, the company has also developed two new products: Superior StreetSiren Plus Jeweller and Superior StreetSiren Plus Fibra. The upgraded LED indication and multiple sound patterns make the new sirens NFA2P-compliant. The wireless siren also has pre-installed batteries that enable the device to operate for up to 10 years in a standby mode. The wired model, in turn, will expand the list of Ajax products that comply with the EN 50131 (Grade 3) standard.

Hub BP Jeweller: off-grid security made simple

Ajax Systems drew the attention of security professionals to an often-overlooked business opportunity — protecting vacant property. Such sites require solutions that work without mains power supply, are well protected from sabotage, and are easy to install and dismantle. This might seem like a challenge, but not to Ajax partners.

Fast installation, excellent communication range, and autonomy are already part of Ajax's DNA.

Protecting such sites becomes even easier with the release of Hub BP Jeweller. It is a battery-powered control panel. It's ideal for protecting vacant houses, construction sites, empty office buildings, and other facilities that do not have constant power supply. The device is available in two versions — with or without casing. The hub can be powered by internal batteries from Ajax or internal and external batteries from third-party manufacturers. Rechargeable or non-chargeable, they offer extended autonomy, especially in an advanced battery power saver (BPS) mode.

Hub BP Jeweller supports up to 100 Ajax devices and allows for building comprehensive systems for intrusion protection, fire safety, water leak prevention, and automation. Besides, Hub BP supports photo verification and automation scenarios and features sabotage protection.

Also, Hub BP Jeweller is compatible with ExternalAntenna, an external antenna that helps to overcome barriers to radio signals in challenging environments, such as reinforced concrete rooms. It ensures stable connection via Jeweller and Wings, as well as a cellular network.

Superior MotionCam AM (PhOD) Jeweller: nothing goes unnoticed

Yet another addition to Ajax portfolio is Superior MotionCam AM (PhOD) Jeweller, a wireless motion detector with top-notch anti-masking system, advanced photo verification, and a reduced blind spot. Although engineered to protect vacant property, the device is also perfect for schools, shops, restaurants, and other public places wherever there is a high risk of deliberate or unintentional lens masking.

The anti-masking system allows for identifying the attempts of lens obstruction, taping, or painting. Upon detecting them, the detector automatically captures photos and alerts a monitoring station. The operator receives clear and sharp images within seconds in Ajax apps. Also, the device can take photos by alarm, schedule, or scenario and when a tamper alarm is triggered.

Business opportunities in protecting remote sites

Remote facilities such as solar power plants, wind farms, telecommunication towers, drilling rigs, and construction sites pose unique security challenges that many see impossible to address. With Ajax, these challenges become opportunities.

MotionCam Outdoor HighMount (PhOD) Jeweller is a versatile outdoor motion detector designed with exceptional installation flexibility. Thanks to the mounting height ranging from 6.6 to 13 ft, wide horizontal and vertical viewing angles, and no blind spots, the device ensures comprehensive area coverage. It is a perfect fit for industrial facilities, construction sites, warehouses, office buildings, or private residences.

MotionCam Outdoor HighMount (PhOD) Jeweller is a new level of confidence in the security of your sites, whether it's a remote solar power plant or a private house in the suburbs.

The detector uses advanced dual motion detection technology combined with the LISA algorithm. The intelligent filtering system ensures that tree movement does not become a false alarm trigger. If the alarm is raised, it can be verified with a series of photos. A photo-on-demand feature is also available.

What’s more, MotionCam Outdoor HighMount (PhOD) Jeweller features enhanced sabotage protection, including a magnetometer and an anti-masking system. The device has a robust metal mounting bracket that ensures stable positioning and precision when it comes to adjusting viewing angle. A new Motion Detection Area tool in the Ajax PRO app helps installers to accurately point the detector within 10 seconds and without getting off the ladder.

Ajax Services: added value for users, business growth for partners

Ajax Systems further develops Ajax Services, which is an umbrella term for a range of beneficial capabilities for the company's partners. Last year, it launched Ajax SIM, a pre-installed SIM card with full network compatibility. The service will be available not only in the US and Canada but also in the UK and Nordic markets in Q1 2025.

During this year’s Special Event, the Ajax team unveiled a new revolutionary service: Ultra DP signaling presets for configuring dual-path signaling directly in the Ajax PRO app. Ultra DP transforms a complex, hardware-dependent process into a fast and efficient procedure. An Ajax hub comes with a built-in communicator and pre-installed Ajax SIM, allowing installers to quickly set up and choose the required signaling level in just a few clicks. Once the choice is made, all the necessary settings and activations are automatic.

High-end security projects with Ajax wired Grade 3 products

Ajax Systems confidently navigates the market of protecting high-risk facilities with Superior wired devices. They have obtained the EN 50131 (Grade 3) certification, which means that they can protect jewelry and arms stores, banks and financial institutions, ATMs, and other facilities. In addition, Ajax Fibra devices comply with:

The best international laboratories have recognized the reliability of Ajax wired devices, and so have security professionals around the world. The number of Fibra installations is increasing by 30% each quarter, and the positive trend is bound to reinforce thanks to the following wired Grade 3 releases.

Superior DoorProtect G3 Fibra. It is an opening detector with a built-in magnetometer. An intruder has no chance to spoof the detector's magnet: the magnetometer detects any changes in the magnetic field and triggers an alarm. The detector does not react to a single impact or occasional door slamming.

Superior MotionProtect G3 Fibra. This motion detector has a completely redesigned optical system to improve the detection. The new optics have an extended detection range of up to 49 ft and a reduced blind spot of only up to 1.6 ft. The detector reacts to both fast and slow movements, such as running or crawling. The device features a PIR sensor, a K-band microwave sensor, and the SmartDetect software algorithm to filter out false alarms. The detector also features an advanced anti-masking system against painting and covering. Even the transparent obstacle placed over the lens will be detected.

Superior SeismoProtect G3 Fibra. It is the first Ajax seismic detector designed to detect vibrations from drilling, cutting, and explosions. It can be installed on ATMs, terminals, private and bank vaults, or other places of storing valuables. The device identifies physical force, such as bending or pushing, temperature changes near the enclosure, and quickly reacts to shocks and tilt. An advanced software algorithm analyzes all the vibrations to filter out false alarms.

SeismoProtect combines accurate detection, the Ajax user experience, meaning the best one, and Grade 3 protection for high-risk facilities.

SeismoProtect comes with everything an installer might need to do the job: a stainless steel mounting plate, an armored 4-core signal cable, a self-test device, and an installation kit with all the necessary fasteners. The self-test device automatically checks the operational state of the detector once a day. The test can also be run manually at any time through the Ajax app.

Superior MultiTransmitter IO (4X4) Fibra. This is a module for integrating third-party devices into the Ajax ecosystem. It has four inputs and four outputs, two logic and two relays. Outputs can control electric locks, sirens, detectors with switching operating modes, and many other devices. The IO module also allows for configuring Zwangsläufigkeit (the unavoidability principle), required by the VdS standard.

Superior MultiTransmitter IO (4X4) Fibra is a powerful tool for transforming outdated yet usable security devices into intelligent security.

Superior KeyPad Outdoor Fibra. This is the first Ajax’s outdoor keypad with an ultra-narrow enclosure rated IP66. The device is so slim that fits anywhere yet still has big, glove-friendly mechanical buttons with sleek feedback. The enclosure features IK08 protection and is built to remain operational even after being hit.

The outdoor keypad inherits all the main features of Ajax keypad. Access codes, contactless control with key fobs, cards, and even smartphones, passcode guessing protection, and a duress code are all available. KeyPad Outdoor operates in two modes simultaneously — security and automation control — and supports bypass mode.

What’s more, KeyPad Outdoor Jeweller has also been announced. The wireless outdoor version will be available in Q2 2025.

Ajax Next: investing in the future of engineering

Every year, Ajax Systems releases about 30 new devices and 50 major software updates, and this pace is yet to be matched by the European security system manufacturers. The company achieves this thanks to no other than a brilliant R&D team, which has grown tenfold over the last four years. Along the way, Ajax Systems tries to share its passion for hardware development with the Ukrainian youth.

Comfort and automation: the evolution of the product category

The foundation for Ajax Comfort and automation product category has been laid in 2022. The company set out on a journey to change the way installers, electricians, and end users experience lighting control. Since then, this vision, as well as product portfolio, has evolved. The category now comprises the devices that prevent water leaks, monitor air quality, and control lighting and appliances.

The core of the category is the LightSwitch series, which covers all the basic lighting control needs. Ajax video surveillance: the latest updates

In 2023, Ajax Systems introduced its first Ajax video surveillance products — TurretCam, BulletCam, DomeCam Mini, and NVR. Throughout the year, JunctionBox and 12V PSU for NVR were also delivered. Besides, several significant software updates were released:

• Customizable video wall in the PRO Desktop app.
• Notification of object recognition by AI
• Direct video export feature for downloading videos up to 24 hours long.
• Temporary access rights for PRO accounts.

The Ajax team also took care of the design phase of the video surveillance system and developed two super valuable tools for PROs: video storage calculator and video device calculator.

DoorBell: the first line of defense

Video surveillance has become an important part of the Ajax Systems’ portfolio in just one year. While the product category is on the rise, it receives an obvious addition — Ajax DoorBell, a video doorbell with built-in AI, PIR sensor, and control via apps.

DoorBell delivers excellent video and audio quality. Thanks to a 4 MP camera with HDR and IR illumination of up to 20 ft, images are clear and sharp regardless of lighting conditions. In-house noise and echo canceling solutions and enhanced sound output enable users to talk and hear clearly, even in noisy environments.

Equipped with a PIR sensor and built-in AI, the device accurately detects movement and recognizes people, animals, and vehicles with a very low level of false alarms. So DoorBell can be considered as yet another piece of perimeter protection.

With DoorBell, we have created something completely new — an ultimate mix of comfort and professional security.

The device is powered by JetSparrow and Ajax Cloud, so access to the video stream is available within seconds, and notifications arrive with no delays. To record the video, users can complement DoorBell with Ajax NVR or make use of Ajax Cloud Storage, one of Ajax Services.

What the Ajax team takes the most pride in is the doorbell’s communication capabilities. The main communication channel is the usual Wi-Fi but with unrivaled communication range — up to 1,600 ft in line of sight. It is up to 5 times more in comparison with the competitors’ solutions. If the Wi-Fi connection is lost, DoorBell has a fallback communication channel with an Ajax hub — Jeweller and Wings. The device never turns into a brick.

IndoorCam: professional security, domesticated

Ajax Systems announces one of the most awaited Ajax products ever — IndoorCam, a Wi-Fi security camera with a PIR sensor, built-in AI, and a fallback communication channel. It is perfect for homes, restaurants, shops, or any other sites where using wired solutions would be an inconvenience.

Equipped with a 4 MP camera, HDR, and IR illumination of up to 26 ft, the device ensures a rich-in-detail image quality both day and night. The PIR sensor detects movement at a distance of up to 13 ft, while built-in AI recognizes people, pets, or vehicles. The camera also features a highly sensitive microphone and a top-notch speaker for two-way communication without echo or background noises.

Just like DoorBell, IndoorCam does not rely on Wi-Fi alone. It has fallback communication channels, Jeweller and Wings. The device stays in touch with an Ajax hub and takes photos. When complemented with NVR or Ajax Cloud Storage, IndoorCam can record continuously, by object recognition, or by movement. The archive navigation leaves no room for waiting thanks to JetSparrow.

News flash for the North American market

Lately, the Ajax team has been focused on catering to the needs of the North American partners. In this pursuit, the company introduced the LightSwitch (1-gang, 3-way, and 4-way) series and Socket (type B) Jeweller to the market. These products offer all the benefits of the European versions but in a familiar form factor.

Besides that, dozens of Ajax devices now officially meet key North American standards for security systems. The SIA CP-01 certificate proves that the risk of false alarms in an Ajax system is minimal. Furthermore, the Ajax security system is certified to UL and NIST standards, making it suitable for installation in high-risk and government facilities in the U.S. and Canada.

А huge part of Ajax's portfolio now complies with local North American standards. Yet, the list of devices that have the relevant features is much longer. That’s because we want all Ajax countries to enjoy the new benefits.
