Ajax Systems and KSE University are opening an engineering school. The company signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Kyiv School of Economics Foundation (KSE Foundation) and the KSE University.
The investment will help to create a modern training facility for specialists in critical areas such as electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, material science, software engineering, and biotechnology engineering.
The project is being implemented as part of the Ajax Next educational initiative.
Microelectronics will be the engineering school's first educational product, created in partnership with ETH Zurich, one of the world's best technical institutes. The program starts in September and aims to train many electrical engineers in Ukraine. It is based on international experience and an inclusive approach to education.
The program includes a variety of disciplines:
- semiconductor physics;
- circuit engineering;
- design of integrated circuits (VLSI);
- analog integrated circuits;
- communication and navigation systems;
- optics and photonics.
It is important for us to create opportunities to exchange experience between industry experts, teachers, and future engineering professionals. That is why we have launched the Ajax Next educational initiative, within which we actively cooperate with the universities. We are pleased that KSE University has become our new partner, and we will be able to support them in opening a completely new direction – the Engineering School.
As part of this cooperation, we plan to involve engineers-winners of the KSE Foundation's Talents for Ukraine program in joint initiatives of Ajax Systems and the Kyiv School of Economics, as well as cooperation between the students and teachers of the School of Engineering and the company's technical specialists.
Despite the war and the outflow of qualified personnel, Ukraine continues to score high positions in global rankings regarding the development of innovative technologies and professional competencies of its citizens. I am convinced that the cooperation between KSE Foundation, KSE University, and Ajax Systems will contribute to development of technology industries, training of new qualified personnel, and improvement of Ukraine's competitiveness in innovation and digital technologies.
Graduates of the ETH Zurich program will play an important role in rebuilding Ukraine during and after the war. Thanks to the knowledge gained and the strong graduate community, students can take up internships and continue their career development in Ukrainian and international companies and corporations.
Students can also get an internship at ETH Zurich, where they will work and conduct experiments in a modern laboratory with the latest equipment. The program provides a hybrid learning format combining on-campus and distance learning.
