Vod Hydro 24 is a flood prevention solution that integrates with an Ajax system, providing real-time warnings and automating flood protection measures. When rising water levels are detected, Vod Hydro 24 alerts residents of a flood-prone village nearby, giving them time to safeguard property, move vehicles, and deploy flood barriers.

Additionally, Vod Hydro 24 can manage protective systems, such as groundwater pumps and flood barriers, automating these processes to ensure protection. The device activates pumps when water levels rise and shuts them off once the area is drained. In this way, it helps to prevent damage from dry operation and protect homes from potential flooding.

Vod Hydro 24 features a water float with a magnet and a reed switch. The device is also equipped with the Transmitter Jeweller module that integrates third-party devices with NC/NO contact type into an Ajax system. Upon detecting a dangerous float position, Transmitter Jeweller immediately sends an alarm to an Ajax hub. This way, users receive real-time flood alerts via free Ajax apps. Installed inside a specialized chamber, the integration module also includes a built-in accelerometer to detect any dismounting attempts. When enclosed in a waterproof case, Transmitter Jeweller remains fully operational even in winter outdoor temperatures, ensuring reliable performance in diverse weather conditions.

Vod Hydro 24 integrates with Hub 2 (2G) Jeweller, Hub 2 Plus Jeweller, or Hub 2 (4G) Jeweller devices, with the hub acting as the central unit for managing all connected Ajax devices. These hubs can operate both on mains power and batteries. If no grid power is available, an external battery charged by solar panels can be connected to the hub via the 12-24V PSU (type A) supply unit. This solution is ideal for rural or flood-prone regions, as it keeps the system active in off-grid areas. Additionally, this setup can be utilized to power water pumps.

The hub is installed in a residential building near the monitoring point. All the villagers are added to the system as users. Depending on the hub model, up to 200 users can be added to a single hub, providing scalable protection for both small and large communities. Timely alerts allow residents to take proactive measures, such as moving vehicles and deploying flood barriers.

The hub communicates with the transmitter via the Jeweller protocol, offering two-way communication over distances up to 5,250 feet. The hub processes signals in less than 0.15 seconds, ensuring immediate alerts to rising water levels. Ajax hubs support multiple communication channels, such as Ethernet, 2G, 3G, and LTE¹ networks, switching between them in seconds. This ensures uninterrupted system monitoring, regardless of the hub location.

Additionally, Vod Hydro 24 is useful not only for flood detection but also for monitoring water shortages. When installed in a drinking water reservoir, the device alerts users to low water levels, allowing for timely action to restore the water supply from a well. This ensures a constant water supply for both households and livestock.
